BLISS, A SERIES BY MATTHEW TRUJILLO
October 2, 2025
ATX showed up in full force for “BLISS”, a series by Matthew Trujillo, curated by ORO and produced by ONO Agency. For 30 days, a group of friends and creative professionals locked themselves inside a studio just across the street from the gallery, building, refining, and documenting everything from the ground up.
What came out of that process was proof of what’s possible, the versatility of a show like this, the ability to concept, produce, and capture the entire journey from scratch, then unveil it to 400+ people in Austin over the course of two nights.
What unfolded was more than a showcase. It was a scene built from scratch. From day one, the collaboration between ORO and ONO set the tone. Long days, late nights, and problem-solving in real time, everyone showed up committed to doing their best work. The result was an opening night that felt intentional and electric, anchored by the presence of genuine, culture-driven people.
“BLISS” became a reminder that counterculture still has a home. That we don’t have to chase trends to bring out the best in our city. That when the right people come together, authenticity carries further than any algorithm. This wasn’t about throwing an event, it was about creating belonging. About proving that we’re not in the events business, we’re in the business of building scenes and cultivating energy that lasts beyond one night.
Working alongside ORO was one of the most seamless collaborations to date. Professional, dialed in, and aligned in vision, they brought the kind of partnership that makes ambitious ideas feel effortless. When you’re building with the right people, it just works.
Since the showcase, Matthew is back to work building a name for himself in NYC, and the momentum hasn’t slowed. Calls are being taken. Meetings are being set. Creatives from around the world are tapping in. Austin is home, but creativity is a global language, and this moment felt like a bridge between the two. A signal that what’s happening here can travel.
“BLISS” marked a turning point for ONO, expanding what collaboration looks like in this city and reinforcing the belief that everyone plays a role. Every presence matters. The goal isn’t just disruption for the sake of it, it’s redefining what feels “normal” by bringing the right people to the table and honoring the roots of the art forms that shape our culture.
The hope is that this moment opens the door wider, for artists of all backgrounds to bring their style, their voice, and their history to our streets. Respecting what came before us while building what’s next.
And most importantly, moving forward, together.
